Tara Popova, Esq.
FOUNDER / MANAGING ATTORNEY

Ms. Popova is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Popova Law, a boutique law firm focused primarily on litigation.  Prior to forming Popova Law, Ms. Popova was an attorney at Fox Rothschild, where she gained experience and training while representing some of the nation's largest companies and developers.  Ms. Popova founded Popova Law with the goal of providing clients with large-firm-quality representation at affordable rates.

Ms. Popova is skilled in a broad range of legal matters with particular experience in litigating business disputes and real estate controversies.  Her goal is to resolve every dispute efficiently by starting with a thorough analysis of the specific facts and applicable law, engaging in negotiations with the opposing side to attempt an amicable resolution and, if needed, proceeding to litigation and trial. She litigates cases in both federal and state court and frequently appears before the Eighth Judicial District Court judges.

Throughout her legal career, Ms. Popova has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and sports celebrities to small businesses and individuals.  Ms. Popova is trained in and accustomed to handling high-stakes high-pressure litigation on a daily basis.  Some of her representative matters include defending national companies in cases involving claims for penalties in excess of $1 billion, federal class action lawsuits, and appeals in front of the Nevada Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. Popova's legal experience extends beyond private practice.  Prior to beginning her career as an attorney, she served as a law clerk to Nevada Supreme Court Justice Elissa Cadish during her time as a judge at the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada.  As a law clerk, Ms. Popova assisted in handling a court docket of over 2,500 cases.  She worked closely with the judge in analyzing motions and other matters presented before the court and had the unique opportunity to observe and learn from the judge's decision-making process both in the courtroom and in chambers.  As a result, Ms. Popova is not only familiar with the components that go into a judge's decision-making process, but also possesses deep understanding of courtroom procedure and Nevada local rules.  This experience was also particularly valuable in forming Ms. Popova's foundation as a practitioner in the Las Vegas legal community.

Ms. Popova has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine every year from 2014 until the present, adding to her four Legal Elite recognitions and four Best Up and Coming Attorney recognitions by Nevada Business Magazine.  She has also been featured as a Top Lawyer in Las Vegas by MYVEGAS Magazine and a Distinguished Local Female Professional by Las Vegas Woman Magazine.
